I listened to that mixtape on repeat for a minute. And “HiiPower” was one of the standout songs. Kendrick borrows some biblical images of the apocalypse to give importance to his message. “Stand for something, or die in the morning.” I think he is saying that judgment comes each day, and every day you don't stand for something, you're virtually dead.

A judge said it’s fair game for AI to be trained on books if the company bought them legally. That’s major, because it means AI tools (like the ones we use every day) can keep learning from high-quality info without stepping on legal toes. For Black folks, this opens up more opportunities to create, learn, and build with tech that’s trained right.
But the judge also said pirated books? That’s a no. Anthropic still has to face trial for using illegally downloaded stuff. So it’s a mixed bag—but overall, it’s progress.
Bottom line: This win gives AI developers a clearer path forward, and that means more powerful, helpful tools for our communities. But we’ve still gotta make sure Black voices and content are respected in the process.
